FAMILY LIFESTYLE SESSIONS
Ask yourself this: why do you want to have your portraits taken? What’s the story that you want to tell? What feelings do you have at this point in your life that you want to remember later? Let’s work together to create a custom session that can best reflect your personal story at these meaningful points in your life.
1. BEFORE THE SESSION
I know how stressful it can be to coordinate photos—there are outfits to choose, a location to select, and so many expectations to live up to, right?
Take a deep breath, because I’m here to help. Once you pick your session date, you'll receive a Welcome Email with many tips on how to prepare for your session and how to choose outfits for your whole family.
This Welcome Email also includes a short questionnaire about who is in the session, a brief description of personality and age group of child(ren), the general style you’re looking for and the color schemes you like etc. Basically, I just want to know your needs and personal style so that I can bring out the real YOU and maximize our time together during your photo shoot in a relaxing setting.
To me, a photographer’s job isn’t done until she’s helped you do something special with your images.
2. THE SESSION
All the outdoor sessions are scheduled 1-2 hours after sunrise and 1-2 hours prior to sunset to capture your session during the golden hour.
Depending on the age of session participants, I’ll use a mix of prompts and movement to get the most natural responses in your photos. For very young children, I like to focus on play-based photography and movement. Little ones aren’t always known for sitting still, so I like to capture them as they are so you can remember their spunky little selves.
In-home sessions are a popular way to capture small moments of your day-to-day lives to look back on. Choose a favorite book to read to your child, play dress-up, dance party or play together with a few of your child’s favorite toys.
We'll have a fun and laid-back session where I'll make even your husband smile! I'll capture real emotions and joys while you are interacting and playing together.
3. AFTER THE SESSION
I don’t just want to send you a link and have you click through all of your images for the first time while you’re at work. I want it to be an experience—I want you to dedicate time to being together to see your images for the first time. Trust me. This is the best and emotional part of your photography experience!
After each session, I’ll have you choose a date a few weeks out to block off an evening or day together. We can meet at your home, cafe, my home studio or wherever works the best for you.
You’ll start by watching a SLIDESHOW of all of your photos together.
From there, I'll guide you through your favourite images and share products that best suit your home or can be given as gifts. You’ll have a chance to order print products with a one day discount at that appointment. I can even upload other personal photos for you if you want to put together a wall gallery with a mix of photos and help you visualize exactly what your photos will look like on your wall through my online gallery wall designer.
You'll go home with no extra item to be added onto your to-do-list. Let me take care of them from here.
You are all set!!
Having said that, an in-person viewing session may not work for everyone. Don't worry. I'll create an online gallery for you to view your photos from your session and make your selection as well.
2-6 weeks later, your art piece will be delivered directly at your door. Once those portraits are hanging, you can enjoy them EVERY DAY. These are your precious kids —the ones who are growing too fast and who you will cherish for years to come.
My Collections range from $310 to $850 for a Lifestyle Portrait Session.
The retainer fee is non-refundable, but is transferable in the event that you must re-schedule with 24 hours notice.
Our custom wall art begins at $175. My typical client spends between $220 and $2000 on photography. Feel free to check out OUR PRODUCTS page. Contact me for pricing.
